So those fittings shrink fit? Neat

This is not a good solution, just like any other solution based on pipes, because it is not very effective, especially in the process of cooling rooms. Condensation problems and high production costs. A new technology of thermal panels with the so-called fast energy transfer and no condensation problems.
How do you take the wires out of the box when you want to replace one?
The Uponor control system is the most complicated I have ever come across. It's not flexible enough either. There's no battery backup on the timers and after a powercut you have to reset the timers. Hopeless.
How much insulation needs to be in the floor?
Hello sir can you have work i need pulmbing job please
If the wiring access from the actuator to the panel is difficult - is it acceptable to cut the cable and make a join/junction box to fit a new actuator head?
Our Underfloor heating specialist commented I can’t see any issue myself as long as they don’t exceed the recommended length which is printed in the tech details of each manual.
How do you remove the wires from the circuit (to remove a dud acuator)? There is a small little peg next to the connecting wire, but I can't figure out how to withdraw the wire.
In the manifold cupboard there is a dedicated actuator for my sunroom. However, there was no thermostat installed in the sunroom. Therefore the sunroom temperature is controlled by the thermostat in the adjoining living room. This is fine when the double doors are open between both rooms but not so when the doors are closed and I do not want the sunroom heated. What can I do to trick the sunroom actuator into thinking the room has reached the desired temperature and to shut off? Would really appreciate advice please.
Worst programmable stat I've ever had the misfortune to come across, the display on mine isn't the same as in the video and it's far to complicated
Hi I don’t know if you can help. Our thermostat is preset and it doesn’t go up to 10. So the hours and minutes screen doesn’t come up . Thus the thermostat turns on at the wrong time. When it’s afternoon in real time the clock says for example 04:30 meaning it thinks it’s 4:30 in the morning when in fact it could be 3pm it’s really messed up. I have called out underfloor heating “experts” who couldn’t work out how to change the clock. I did reach out to Uponor UK but it would cost extra because they are in another part of London. It’s obviously really cold now I just need the thermostats to work properly so we can be warm. It also takes more than 3 hours to heat up which isn’t great when it’s really cold outside. Once we kept it on for about 3 days eventually it went back to cutting out. And it would be cold again. I hope someone can give me some advice. Before I spend a small fortune trying to sort this out.
Where is this pipe used? for ASHP between compressor and indoor units?
Thank you.
On promotion Video you should at least install protection tubes (red and blue ) between heat loops level and collectors and make that straight. Looks very unprofessional.....hmmm
How do I switch from heating to cooling ? The Uponor system in the flat I rent has cooling feature available and it says "yes" in the thermostat, but I cannot make it run to cool the ambient. Help please.
Thank you for contacting Uponor. Unfortunately, without knowing what system the thermostat is operating we cannot comment on why the cooling isn’t working. We would advise contacting the building management and ask if the associated system is set-up for cooling.

Been heating engineer on domestic and commercial sites for years, saw one of this methods online. Arranged meeting with my Uponor rep and tried this and other joining methods. Have to say very impressed. I take samples with me and inspected them at home. Measured internal bore and compared with Speedfit, CU etc., cut on half completed joints, bend them, try to push apart using grips. Also you can make joins when some water still in the pipes, disassemble completed fittings to do repair and joint them back. I think it’s exactly the same situation when Speedfit come out to the market and everyone afraid to use it saying it’s not reliable but now lots of engineers use it.

@UponorUK Where in the UK can I buy this from, only seem to be one or two online places with patchy stock.

Hi, I need to replace an actuator connected to my Smartrix Controller. I have a replacement. Can I disconnect and connect the new without powering down the Smartrix controller? I am afraid the settings will be lost if I power down the Smartrix.
On may levels these thermostats are too simply designed for such a range of complex features. Come on - Finland is supposed to be the home of simple yet effective design.
Hi Martin how do you know which is the hot water flow into the blender before the red and blue shot off valves are on ?? cheers
Rotometers are on supply side...
Hello - I’ve had 4 ‘experts’ come around to try repair my Uponor 4 port manifold. None of them can resolve the problem. I think it’s because they don’t understand how it works. My thermostatic head appears to not operate properly and the pump over heats and switches off. Know anyone in london who can help me?
What's the meaning of 2 access points for channel 1 and 2? Can you have 2 actuators connected to one channel, point a and b, to control 2 seperate rooms?
Or you can control the two loops of a larger room with a single thermostat. Since the length of each pipework loop is limited because of factors like water pressure, temperature, sometimes you need to use two or more loops for the same room.
Thanks for the info!
How do you pressure the underfloor heating? With the flow and returns or place cold into manafold?
This really didn’t help
Same boat
How come none of your western manifolds have air vent valves on them?
western? Uponor is finnish company, twat.
Luider
the sound is very soft in the video😢
That's relatively straightforward. Don't suppose you can show us how to wire the 2 port valve, pump and boiler call can you? Wiring a standard s plan to a normal central heating system is a doddle but how do you incorporate that to your system?

It doesn't seem like this would work in a humid place, unless you like drippy ceilings
You have to control the humidity with a dehunidifier.
There's something called "dew point", which is a temperature (difference) between air and a cold surface at which point humidity from air condenses into water (dew). In laymans terms, if the pipes are *cold enough* then there will be condensation on them. The trick it to keep the pipes cold, but not so cold that condensation starts to appear. You can do that by installing temperature and humidity sensors for the air in the room, as well as temperature sensors for the water in the pipes. This way you can make sure there's never a big enough difference between those 2 temperatures.

What is the part number of the second item?
Why is uponor pushing press fittings when they have superior pex expander system? Like why to be manufacturer of number 123456789 of press fittings when you have better system?
I can recommended these specialist, really good overview ua-cam.com/video/m9ZXbU5ToSs/v-deo.html
I purchased this manifold and later saw this video for temp valve and pump kit. They seem to be made for this manifold. I would like the same ones from the video or most similar. Do you know brand/model of this kit?
This will never take off in the UK. Just how much are they tools to buy? 16mm?? Seriously?? Why not 15mm that can be connected to say copper with a compression fitting? Leave this crap to the Americans. They love over complicated shit like this
Hi, what type of radiant pipes are there ? Those are PVC ? Or metal ?
Pex maybe?
Здравствуйте. А у вас есть испытания на прочность соединения.
I'd like to see you using it under cabinets when you just cut the pipe and water drips and you have close to no time to push a fitting in .is easy when dry and in the open hahaha even cutting the pipe under cabinet isn't easy let alone using that big tool under it.
We nearly started using it but found one major issue, none of our suppliers stock it.
If i put the thermostat on the first channel (first led) and i have wires in 1a and 1b, that means that thermostat controls 2 actuators?
very interesting
